9 Months

Growth: 17 pounds 11 ounces and 27 3/4 inches long. She is definitely filling out and getting longer. She is in size 3 diapers. She is wearing 6-9 month, 9 month and some 12 month clothes. She is in a size 1-2 shoe.

Food: At 8.5 months, Jolie self-weaned from breastfeeding. She started refusing to nurse and would fight me every time we tried. So I gave her pumped breast milk for a few days then mixed it 1/2 and 1/2 for 2 weeks. Last week was her first week on formula only. She did really well transitioning to formula. She is drinking Similac Advance. She is starting to eat more table food. The only thing she has not liked so far is cottage cheese.

Sleep: She is sleeping through the night far the most part. Occasionally she has a rough night. She takes 2-3 naps per day at daycare.

Daily Routine: I still do not enjoy waking up at 5 am, but I guess that is life. I get dressed for work and then wake her up to feed her a bottle. Then I dress her and we leave for the day. Daddy picks her up from daycare. She gets a bottle around 6. Our evening is spent playing and snuggling! She has dinner around 7:30-8 before bath time. After bath time, she has a bottle before bed and then she goes to sleep between 8:30-9:30. At daycare she usually takes 2 good naps and then usually one shorter nap in the early evening.

Nicknames: Tootie Bug, Toot Toot, Baby Girl, Sweet Pea, Angel, Sweet Girl

Personality: We have such a happy baby! She is always smiling and laughing. She really only cries when she is tired. She continues to babble and talk all the time. Her favorite "word" is still "Da, Da, Da." She has been exploring other sounds and often squeals or shrieks. She also began talking to herself in the bathroom mirror during bath time. It is the cutest thing in the world! She has also started with a little belly laugh and adorable chuckle.

Motor Milestones: This girl is now on the move! There is no stopping her now! She is now a crawling pro and goes from room to room in no time! She pulls up to standing on anything and everything. She can now stand from the ground without pulling up. She also squats and plays in half kneeling. She is on the verge of walking.
