10 Months

10 Months!

Growth: 18 pounds 2 ounces and approximately 28 inches long. She seems to be growing taller every day! She is still in size 3 diapers. She is wearing 6-9 month, 9 month and some 12 month clothes. She is in a size 2-4 shoe depending on the brand/style. Shoes have been difficult to find, because most of the shoes in her size are soft-soled, and she has a wide, fat little foot!

Food: Jolie is still drinking Similac Advance. Her interest in bottles has been decreasing. She would rather eat food. She still drinks 4-6 bottles per day ranging from 4-6 ounces per bottle. She loves all food and is eating all table foods. She now has 4 teeth, top and bottom middle.

Sleep: She is sleeping through the night. We solved the sleeping issue in pack-n-plays with a make-shift mattress of a twin size egg crate mattress pad. She now sleeps through the night when we are away from home too! She takes 2-3 naps per day at daycare.

Daily Routine: I still do not enjoy waking up at 5 am, but I guess that is life. I get dressed for work and then wake her up. Then I dress her and we leave for the day. Daddy picks her up from daycare. She gets a bottle around 6. Our evening is spent playing and snuggling! She has dinner around 7:30-8 before bath time. After bath time, she has a bottle before bed and then she goes to sleep between 8:30-9:30. At daycare she usually takes 2 good naps and then usually one shorter nap in the early evening.

Nicknames: Tootie Bug, Toot Toot, Baby Girl, Sweet Pea, Angel, Sweet Girl, Hot Mess

Personality: We have such a happy baby! She is always smiling and laughing. She really only cries when she is tired. She continues to babble and talk all the time. Her favorite "word" is still "Da, Da, Da." She has also said "MaMa", "Paw Paw", and "off". She said off while pointing to the light switch as she loves to turn her light off. She continues to explore other sounds and often squeals or shrieks. She also loves talking to herself in the bathroom mirror during bath time. It is the cutest thing in the world! She has also started with a little belly laugh and adorable chuckle. 

Motor Milestones: This girl is now on the move! There is no stopping her now! She took her first 3 steps at 9 months and 1 week. Over the next few weeks she would take a few steps every now and then, but preferred to hold someones hand. Right on cue, on her 10 month birthday, she just took off. She is quickly becoming a walking pro and now prefers it over crawling. She will still crawl occasionally, but usually pops up into standing and walks. She has incredible balance in standing and is able to catch herself from falling (most of the time). She is a pro at transitions from sitting or lying to standing. She has also begun climbing on things....she has no fear. She is also beginning to nod her head yes and is attempting some sign language with us! She is currently learning "all done" and "more".
