2 Months

First, here are her growth stats from her one month check-up. She was 7 pounds 9.5 ounces and 21.25 inches long. She is growing, but slowly. She will just be petite.

2 Months Old

Growth: Jolie is now 8 pounds 8 ounces and 22 inches long. She was not able to get her 8 week shots at this appointment because she was sick. It turns out that she had RSV. My poor baby was stuffy, snotty and coughing.. But she is slowly recovering now. We are going for her shots this Thursday.

Lola was very protective of her sick sissy.

Food: We are still breastfeeding. Yay for making it past the rough beginning! We have the hang of it now and my milk is regulated. She now eats every 2.5-3 hours for 20-30 minutes. I have been pumping when I have a chance to freeze milk for when I return to work next week. She now eats 4-5 ounces per bottle.

Sleep: Our nights have gotten better for the most part. Our bedtime routine consists of a bath around 9 pm and a bottle from Daddy. She usually goes to sleep around 10-11 pm. She now wakes up once to eat around 2-3 am and then wakes around 5-6 for the day. Occasionally, she fights sleep after her 2-3 am feeding. She still doesn't sleep very much during the day.

Daily Routine: We wake up at 5-6 am to eat and then usually sleep a little longer if possible. This week we have been staying up after this feeding to prepare for next week when I return to work. Our day is a continuous eat, play, sleep (maybe) cycle. Last week was different because we were both sick. She slept more and wanted to be held most of the day.

Nicknames: Jo-Jo (given to her by cousin Cole), Tootie Bug, Toot-toot, Sweet Pea, Baby Girl, Night Owl or Vampire (because of her lack of sleep at night), Princess

Personality: This little girl is a spit-fire already. She is NON-STOP and always on the move. She makes tons of adorable faces. Our favorites are her big eyes and her surprised look. She is also beginning to coo and squeak. She seems to recognize faces and voices a little more. She is very alert and seems to be more engaged.

Motor Milestones: She is now a pro at holding her head up. She is such a wiggle worm! Those arms and legs are always going. She is now able to lift and turn her head when lying on her stomach. She loves to stand in our laps. Her new favorite thing is to stand with daddy and look out the window. Lola often joins in too.

Before Jolie got sick, she got to meet her future boyfriend, Trey Jacobs! Mommy's college roommate, Liz, had Trey 3 days before Jolie was born. We couldn't wait to get these two together! Here are few pics from our photo shoot in the matching outfits my mom bought for Jolie and Trey.

This was too funny! They were in their carseats while we ate dinner and Trey was kicking Jolie's carseat and rocking her!

Mommy goes back to work next week...I can't believe it's been 10 weeks already! Next week is going to be tough. We are going to go visit daycare on Friday to meet her teachers, see her crib and bring her things so Monday will be a little less stressful. Jolie will go to daycare on Monday, and then they are closed Tuesday for Mardi Gras. So Jolie gets to have a day at home with Daddy.
